OCTTC Course Content

📊 Performance Review

After each exam, students take part in an interactive review session led by subject matter experts. Using advanced classroom technology, teachers share their screens across all student devices, creating an engaging and immersive learning experience. During the review, teachers examine class‑wide performance trends as well as individual responses. This analysis highlights strengths and areas for improvement, enabling teachers to provide personalised guidance that supports every student’s learning needs.

🔁 OCTTC Retest Challenge

Students can enhance their understanding at home by re‑attempting all the questions they previously answered incorrectly. Drawn from past exams, these questions provide an opportunity for students to test their improved skills and consolidate learning. Parental support is encouraged to help identify learning gaps early and guide students toward effective study habits.

📝 Exam Practice

Students complete weekly computerised tests under exam conditions that closely replicate the Opportunity Class (OC) Placement Test. Each week, they sit two exams, alternating between Reading and Mathematical Reasoning & Thinking Skills. The timing of each exam mirrors the official OC Placement Test, helping students build familiarity with the format and strengthen time‑management skills. To make full use of the allocated exam period, students must arrive on time. In accordance with NSW Department of Education rules, late arrivals will not be granted additional time.

📈 Dynamic Exam Report

Students and parents receive a comprehensive exam report that clearly outlines each student’s performance in relation to their peers. The report highlights individual strengths and areas for improvement, offering practical insights to guide the next stage of skill development.

It also serves as a valuable resource during one‑on‑one consultations, where subject matter experts provide tailored strategies to support student progress and maximise academic outcomes.
