About the Course
The Year 4 WEMT (Writing, English, Maths, Thinking Skills) course has been carefully developed to provide a more stimulating and enriching learning environment. With a focus on both foundational knowledge and advanced critical thinking, the program is designed to challenge students and prepare them for long-term academic success.
Students will be challenged to think deeply, solve complex problems, and engage with content in meaningful ways.
Year 4 WEMT Course Outline
✍️ Writing
The Writing module equips students with the most efficient skills for organising writing structures. Lessons emphasise cultivating critical thinking and reasoning abilities, enabling students to express ideas clearly, construct logical arguments, and refine their analytical approach across diverse writing tasks.
➗ Mathematics
The Mathematics lessons provide essential tuition to help students thoroughly understand mathematical theories, principles, and formulas. Organised learning materials and a wide variety of practical questions ensure students can apply their knowledge effectively and solve mathematical problems with confidence.
📖 English
The English lessons encourage constant interaction between students and teachers, fostering active engagement when reading and answering questions. Learning activities focus on strengthening reading skills, practising reading comprehension, and developing accuracy in language convention questions. This approach builds confidence and ensures students can apply their skills effectively across a variety of texts.
🧠 Thinking Skills
